Welcome to COLE STRANGE

I’m Cole Strange.

This page is the one place I let all the different parts of me exist in the same room.

I spent more than a decade as a Physician Assistant in the ER. Over time, the constant stream of people showing up broken wore on me. It created an obsession. I couldn’t stop analyzing the system we have and how messed up it is. All I could see was how much money and energy goes into patching people up while almost nothing goes into keeping them healthy in the first place.

That’s when lifestyle medicine started pulling at me. I couldn’t ignore it. It became the lens I naturally put on, because I was drawn to prevention, to root causes, to actually living well.

At the same time, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial streak. Real estate scratched that itch for me, gave me stability, and tied me to connections & community. But I couldn’t keep splitting myself between the ER, real estate, and my deeper work. The ER was literally killing me, so I walked away from that career.

Now I’m chasing work that feels aligned. Real estate still matters to me. So does lifestyle medicine. And Vital Earth Labs is one way I’m trying to bring it all together. (More to come here, excited to bring this one to life). 

This site isn’t a finished product or a polished brand. It’s just the place I put it all down messy, evolving, sometimes forgot about, but honest.

This started as a personal wake-up call. Years in the ER showed me what happens after things fall apart—but I couldn’t stop wondering what it would look like to get ahead of it all. Now I share what I’ve learned about metabolic health, stress, movement, and food—not from a mountaintop, but from the middle of real life. I write, speak, and coach with one goal: helping people feel better before they get sick. It’s not perfect, but it’s real—and it works.
